Mike Henley was born in the heart of Wiltshire many, many years ago and still lives in that fine county. He attended the same school as Bernard Cornwell and Richard Stilgoe, although not at the same time, and has worked, variously, as a Vacquablaster, labourer, advertising copywriter, farmhand, business consultant and baking assistant.

He currently more or less makes a living as a freelance writer and professional actor. In his time he has been good friends with a small handful of Labradors, a border collie, a Jack Russell terrier and a dynasty of cats.
