Author: Hine, Nancy Nancy Hine, author of ‘THE DEPRESSION TRAP: TEN WAYS TO SET YOURSELF FREE’ is a counsellor seeing adults and young people in her private practice. She was inspired to write a book about depression in response to the many clients she saw suffering from this condition and the often contradictory information available on the internet about treatment. Nancy obtained an Honours degree in Economic and Social History and Sociology from Birmingham University and then trained as a Chartered Accountant in London. Some years later, while working for Ernst & Young as a senior audit manager, she realised that she wanted to do something more meaningful with her life and decided to retrain as a counsellor. Nancy is now a Gestalt counsellor with a diploma from the Gestalt Centre in London and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She writes a weekly blog on depression covering the latest developments and ideas www.thedepressiontrap.com. |
